Kelly Palmer joined Boise State Public Radio as director of development in October 2010. She has more than a decade of experience in major gift fundraising, having participated in two comprehensive campaigns at institutions of higher education. Kelly has been with Boise State University since 2007, when she was hired as the development director for the College of Social Sciences and Public Affairs. In 2008, she became development director for the Albertsons Library.
Prior to arriving at Boise State, Kelly was a major gifts officer at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. There she managed, cultivated and solicited a portfolio of 350 alumni and achieved an annual goal of at least $750,000. During her tenure at Rensselaer, she was also responsible for the development of a young alumni solicitor program, as well as the recruitment, training and management of 40 volunteers.
Kelly holds a bachelor of science in management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute which includes a semester abroad at L’Universita d’ Luigi Bocconi in Milan, Italy where she focused on international business and finance.
