Shelby Zepeda

Born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, Shelby chose to attend Boise State University after receiving an academic scholarship and realizing she wanted a change from the desert landscape. Four years later, she has worked her way from an un-paid internship at Boise State Public Radio to Marketing and Special Events Assistant at the station. There she recruits, trains, coordinates and deploys a cadre of 200+ volunteers, identifies, cultivates and maintains partnerships with numerous local and regional organizations, contributes to the production of several community-focused events, and collaborates on the design of station ads and promotional materials. Most recently she has interned at Boise Art Museum working on marketing strategy, media planning and buys. This internship also turned into a paid position as Volunteer Coordinator for Art in the Park, the museum's largest fundraiser, bringing over 250,000 people to downtown Boise. Expected to graduate in December 2013 with a BBA in Marketing, Shelby is energetic and enthusiastic to begin her career; hoping to one day work in Account Services at a full-service advertising agency. In the mean time she stays busy going to school full-time, working, playing tennis, traveling, and volunteering for various local organizations.
