Boise State Adopts New Logo

Boise State employees received letters this week announcing the new logo. Each contained a lapel pin of the new B.

As soon as the announcement was made the new "forward moving B" logo appeared all over campus in temporary banners and door decals.

The diamond shape logo has been in place since 2001 and appears all over campus.

The diamond logo will be phased out over the next ten months. University representatives say they don't have an estimate on cost of replacing signs and other occurrences of the old logo.

When the diamond was adopted it cost Boise State an estimated $25,000 to implement the change.

The bronco head will remain the school's primary athletic logo.

The university has been using the B in advertising campaigns for years.

Boise State merchandise is dominated by the bronco but the diamond logo pops up occasionally where BSU products are sold.
