BOISE, ID – A warm front is headed to Southeast Oregon and Southwest Idaho Tuesday and Wednesday. That will cause a mix of precipitation according to Megan Thimmesch of the National Weather Service in Boise. She says, “Depending on where you’re located you may see rain, rain and snow, or possibly even freezing rain which is expected in the Baker County Valley and the Upper Weiser Basin.”
Snow is expected in the mountains. But the warm front will likely cause rain to fall across the valleys. Rainfall totals through Thursday could range from half an inch to an inch across the Western Magic and Treasure Valleys. That means minor flooding of small streams and creeks could occur. The Weiser, Payette, Malheur, and Powder River are being watched for signs of flooding.
