The experimental electronic artist and beat-genius Son Lux, rapper Serengeti and singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Sufjan Stevens are giving listeners the first taste of a new EP they made together. The song, "Museum Day," from the upcoming Beak & Claw EP, is an epic collision of the three wildly imaginative artists and their singular voices. The trio, recording under the name s / s / s, made it available from the Anticon Records Soundcloud page late last night.

The s / s / s project began when Serengeti reached out to a number of artists, including Stevens, for some beats for a new record he was working on. When he got some tracks from Stevens, Serengeti added vocals but the songs were so left-of-field they didn't fit with anything else on the record. So Serengeti sent what would become "Museum Day" to Son Lux (Ryan Lott) for some studio doctoring. Son Lux added instruments, chopped up Sufjan's beats and wrote and sang some additional vocal parts. The three eventually worked on four songs together and decided to release the cuts as an entirely new project, instead of including them on the album Serengeti was originally working on.

The Beak & Claw EP is due out on Anticon March 20.
