Update: KBSX Now Running At Full Power

Jun 27, 2016

Update: As of 10:48 a.m. Thursday, July 14th, KBSX is running at full power. We appreciate your patience throughout this repair process.

Update: As of Noon Tuesday July 5th, KBSX is operating at 50% reduced power due to a problem with our main transmitter. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience while we wait for repairs to be made. This could take several weeks before the issue is completely resolved. Most listeners in the Treasure Valley will probably not experience much of a difference. However those on the fringe of the KBSX listening area including Mountain Home, Garden View, Ontario and Parma might notice a weaker than normal signal on 91.5 with increased static. Again we apologize for these problems. A reminder that our stream is available online here: http://boisestatepublicradio.org/player#stream/news91  .

Update: As of 4 p.m. Monday, KBSX is running at three-fourths power. Repairs will need to be made before full power can be restored.

Original post:

KBSX is currently running at low power. Because we are operating at a reduced power, the signal doesn't cover the broadcast area as well, especially on the fringes of our listening area.

Our engineers are currently en route to address the issue. Our stream is still available online here: http://boisestatepublicradio.org/player#stream/news91.
