Idaho is a good place to be if you're into science fiction, comic books, and LARP-ing (that's live-action role playing). A lighthearted post from the blog Estately, and picked up by CNET, shows Idaho is the fourth 'nerdiest' (their word, not ours) state in the country.

Google describes its new map feature with references to the movie “Back to the Future."

“Forget going 88 mph in a DeLorean—you can stay where you are and use Google Maps to virtually explore the world as it is—and as it was,” a company blog post declares. “Happy (time) traveling!”

If you've hiked around Boise's foothills, you've likely come across a pile or two of dog poop. In February, there were 104 piles of waste at the Table Rock trailhead. Data show (yes, it's being tracked) those piles fluctuate from year to year, but the problem persists.

Ada County highway officials say they received dozens of complaints Monday morning as heavy fog affected the operation of stop lights.

Mike Boydstun, the Ada County Highway Department’s traffic operations engineer, estimates between 30 and 60 people called the department to report problems between 7 and 9 a.m.

You may be best suited to live in Idaho if you're agreeable and not very extroverted. That's according to data compiled by a group of multinational researchers who've sliced the United States into distinct regions based on personality types.

The regions were determined by personality test data from more than 1 million Americans. Western states fall mostly in the "relaxed and creative" category, while states on the East Coast are largely deemed "temperamental and uninhibited".
